Financial Aid

This guide is meant to provide several resources to prospective and current students regarding financial aid options. This is not a conclusive list, and you are encouraged to do your own independent research regarding financial aid as well. Some forms of financial aid have restrictions, and you are encouraged to speak with a counselor to help you understand your options.

FAFSA

What is FAFSA?

FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Not only is it important to complete the FAFSA for the purposes of applying for Federal Aid for “Pell Approved” programs, but it can also be a factor in scholarship application as well.

How do I apply for Federal Aid through FAFSA?

You can apply for Federal Aid through FAFSA by going to www.fafsa.ed.gov and filling out all relevant academic years (if you are unsure of what academic years to apply for, please contact FTI and ask to speak to our Financial Aid Specialist). When prompted, use the school code 041583 so FTI can gain access to your FAFSA results.

NOTE: You can obtain an ESTIMATE of Federal Aid Eligibility here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/estimate (click on “FAFSA4caster”) This is only an ESTIMATE of Eligibility and not an application for Federal Aid.
